3rd anniversary of former OZZY OSBOURNE and URIAH HEEP drummer LEE KERSLAKE's death

Lee Kerslake RIP

September 19th, 2020:

On this day three years ago former Ozzy Osbourne and Uriah Heep drummer Lee Gary Kerslake lost his 5 year battle with prostate cancer. He was 73 years old.

Lee was best known as the longtime drummer and backing vocalist for the rock band Uriah Heep and for his work with Ozzy Osbourne in the early 1980s.

Lee's contributions included:

Drummer, vocals, songwriter: The Gods (1968-70), Toe Fat, (1970), National Head Band (1971), Uriah Heep (1971-79 & 1982-2007), Ozzy Osbourne (1980-81), Living Loud (2003-04), Berggren Kerslake Band (2012-15).

Ozzy Osbourne classics such as "Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley", "Suicide Solution", "Flying High Again", "I Don't Know", "Believer" and more showcase Lee's superb drumming. Unfortunately, famously, there was a falling out between Lee and Ozzy's camp over allegedly unpaid royalties, but as a dying wish Lee was finally sent platinum awards for his work on those 2 seminal Ozzy albums he performed on.

Here's a live performance featuring Lee Kerslake in 2018:
