MOTLEY CRUE release cover of Beastie Boys' "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)"

MÖTLEY CRÜE have just released a cover-version of Beastie Boys's classic hip-hop song "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" - you can listen to the song below. 

The recording comes from a new three-track EP to be titled 'Cancelled', which will be released on October 4th. It will be the first release of under the group's new deal with the Big Machine Label Group.

'Cancelled' marks the first batch of Motley Crue songs to feature John 5 on guitar instead of Mick Mars. 

The EP also includes "Dogs Of War", which was released as a standalone single in April, and the title track.

Mötley Crüe originally debuted their version of "Fight For Your Right" at their secret gig at London's Underworld club in 2023. That performance took place on the eve of their co-headlining show with DEF LEPPARD at London's 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium.

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee explained to Bill Maher last year that the band felt inspired to write a song called "Cancelled" specifically because it never happened to them.

"There was this article that was like, 'How did Motley Crue ever not get cancelled?' And we were like, 'F*ck, we got to write a song about that because we didn't ever get it," Lee said on the Club Random podcast. "We snuck in under the whatever threshold, wherever that was, where we got away with f*cking murder."
